Hindi daily Nai Dunia is gearing up to launch its Raipur edition. The new offering is slated to be launched on October 13. With this, the daily will add a fourth edition to its roster. At present, the paper has editions in Indore, Bhopal and Gwalior.
Through the Raipur edition, Nai Dunia will be catering to places like Bilaspur, Kanker, Jagdalpur, Dhantari, Dantewara, Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund, Bastar and the twin cities of Durg and Bhilai.
Explaining the objective behind launching in Raipur, Vineet Sethia, Director, Nai Dunia, said, “It’s part of our growth strategy. We want to increase our footprint.” He claimed that daily had been getting a very good response from Chhattisgarh and had achieved the targets that had been set. He, however, refused to disclose further details on this.
The paper will be priced at Rs 1.50 for Raipur city and Durg-Bhilai, however, for readers outside Raipur and Durg-Bhilai, it will be priced at Rs 2. The content of the paper will have a good mix of national, state level, regional and local news.
Said Sethia, “The whole theme revolves around credibility, that’s our biggest strength. We are very focused in our approach. The tradition of trust (Viswaas ki Parampara), which is our punch line, will be taken forward with the Raipur edition.”
Speaking on the competition aspect, Sethia said, “We are set to be placed at number two position in Chhattisgarh right from day one.”
In a bid to create a buzz around its new offering Nai Dunia has been carrying out various promotional activities for the last two months. The paper is laying thrust on on-ground events, events at district levels, a karaoke hunt in schools of Raipur, stage shows in small villages, etc.
Besides, strip ads and 45-second ads have also been running on local cable channels for quite sometime now. Moreover, some 75 hoardings have been put up all across the state creating an awareness regarding Nai Dunia’s new edition.
