Mid Day to make Bollywood dreams come true with ‘Mid Day Faces’

Afternooner compact newspaper Mid Day is giving its readers an opportunity to act in a movie and become superstars through a massive talent hunt show titled ‘Mid Day Faces’. With this new initiative, young Bollywood aspirants get a chance to showcase their talent. This launch pad will entitle winners of the contest to lucrative roles in a forthcoming movie of Lovely Singh Production, titled ‘Tutak Tootak Tutiyan’, which stars Govinda’s daughter Narmmadaa Ahuja.

In a prepared statement, Manajit Ghoshal, MD and CEO, Mid Day Infomedia Limited said, “One of the strengths with Mid Day is our great connect with Bollywood fraternity. We constantly partner with producers and directors to co-create engagement platforms that go beyond the realms of plain communication. Mid Day Faces is one such attempt that will not only establish consumer-connect for the producers of the film but it also offers our readers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to act and make a career in movies. A gratification of such nature will only strengthen our ties with our readers.”

Meanwhile, Lovely Singh, Producer of the movie, stated, “It’s a very good platform for common people with big dreams to showcase their talent on silver screen. Although I got lucky despite being from a small town, everyone might not be. Hence I believe in giving a chance to every common person to make his or her dreams true.”

The registration starts from 25 August, 2011, and will be open for 3 weeks where interested candidates can register on www.mid-day.com/faces. The entire contest is divided into 3 phases. In the first phase, the participants need to register themselves and have to upload their pictures, a supporting video and information of their vital stats. An expert panel consisting of prominent members of the bollywood fraternity, will shortlist the total number of participants to 144. These 72 men and women will be put up for voting on the social media platform and their information will also be available through Mid Day. The nation will play a very important role in deciding who deserves to make it to the top 24 within a 3 week period of voting. These 24 people will go through auditions in Mumbai where the celebrity panel and Lovely Singh will finally select one male and one female winner. The real clincher for the winners is that they will get a chance to feature in his movie titled Tutak Tootak Tutiyan.

The auditions will take place in October and the production of the movie is slated to start immediately after the Final.
