Mercedes-Benz unveils 2nd anniv edition of lifestyle mag

Mercedes-Benz India unveiled the second anniversary edition of its premium lifestyle magazine ‘Mercedes-Benz Magazine’ at an event in Mumbai. Author Chetan Bhagat, who was also the guest editor for the special edition, unveiled the magazine along with journalist and author Shobha De and actor Malaika Arora.

Mercedes-Benz India’s Director, Sales and Marketing, Debashis Mitra informed that the magazine has been around globally since more than 50 years.

Talking about the magazine Mitra said, “The magazine reflects our core value of providing true blue luxury backed by our core brand philosophy of ‘Best or Nothing’. It resonates with the lifestyle of our customers.”

The magazine is the only lifestyle publication by an automobile manufacturer in India, claimed Mitra.

The second anniversary edition boasts of an interview with seven-time Formula One racing world champion Michael Schumacher and some ‘candid confessions’ with Malaika Arora, among other things. Mitra explained that Shobha De was like a mentor who helped Mercedes-Benz decide what they should do to make their global magazine more Indian and give that extra oomph to the second anniversary issue.

The quarterly magazine that was until now a customer-only delight has been put on stands following the unveiling. Maxposure Media Group edits the magazine while Mercedes-Benz has a very strong hold on the editorial too.
