Mediaguru to foray into print, new media consultancy; Narendra Tripathi joins as Partner

Consultancy firm Mediaguru has embarked on a major expansion drive and will soon be providing consultancy services in print and new media. The process has been set in motion with Narendra Tripathi, former VP of Channel 7, joining as a Partner with the firm.

Commenting on the appointment, Sanjay Salil, Director, Mediaguru, said, “It is great to have Narendra in our team. Fortunately, he is a person with experience in diverse fields of media. So we hope to benefit from his vast knowledge.”

Salil also informed that Mediaguru at present was in a major expansion drive. “We are strongly positioned as far as TV and radio is concerned. Now we are in the process of expanding our consultancy services to print and new media. In the coming days, you will see some more senior level people joining our ogranisation,” he added.

Tripathi, with a career spanning over 17 years, has worked in all versions of media except Outdoor – Print (Times of India and Telegraph), Internet (Indya.com), Radio (Radio Mirchi and Red FM) and Television (BiTV, Channel V, NDTV and Channel 7).

About joining Mediaguru, Tripathi said, “While joining Channel 7, I had thought that this would be my last job. And as things turned out, it was my last job. I have been planning to do something of my own. Sanjay Salil of Mediaguru, who is a good friend, asked me why I was not joining him. I found Mediaguru to be a perfect place. Sanjay is a content guy. I, being a marketing and sales person, who has worked both in Radio and TV, considered it to be a perfect match.”
