MaXposure Media acquires license for FHM India from Next Gen Publishing Ltd

MaXposure Media Group (I) Pvt Ltd, a publishing house with a bouquet of lifestyle, special interest and custom magazines, has acquired the license for men’s magazine ‘FHM India’ from Next Gen Publishing Ltd for an undisclosed amount.

Speaking about the deal, MaXposure Media Group’s Co-founder and Publisher Vikas Johari said, “FHM India is a prestigious brand and marks MaXposure Media Group’s entrance into the men’s lifestyle publishing segment. I want to take this opportunity to appreciate Next Gen Publishing Ltd’s initiatives to forward FHM’s market presence, especially the popular ‘FHM Magazine’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World’ poll and its mobile download service. India has 600 million registered users in the country, and hence a huge opportunity for FHM mobile in future.”

Commenting on the acquisition, Simon Greves, International Director, FHM, said; “Since its India launch in 2007, FHM has established itself as a leading men’s lifestyle magazine brand. I am very happy that MaXposure Media Group will be taking the title forward.”

Next Gen Publishing continues to publish ‘Car India’ and ‘Mother& Baby’ under license from Bauer, in addition to its other titles, ‘Smart Photography’, ‘Bike India’, ‘Commercial Vehicle’, ‘The Ideal Home and Garden’, ‘Power Watch India’ and ‘Computer Active’.

FHM is owned by Bauer Media, a division of the Bauer Media Group, Europe’s largest privately owned publishing group. The Group is a worldwide media empire publishing over 230 magazines in 15 countries as well as online media, TV and radio stations. FHM has 25 international print editions and a strong global presence in both online and through mobile phone downloads.
