International men’s lifestyle magazine ‘Maxim’ debuts in India

Maxim, the men’s international lifestyle magazine, which already sells over four million copies worldwide every month, is all set to premiere in India this month. The launch is being done under an exclusive license agreement with Media Transasia.

The India edition of Maxim will be the 30th international edition. The magazine was recently named one of the 20 biggest magazine launches of the last 20 years by Media Industry Newsletter. The Indian edition is set to achieve a distribution of 80,000 copies. The magazine will be published by Piyush Sharma and edited by Sunil Mahra.

Richard Bean, the magazine’s international director, is quoted to have said that India was a vast market and an outstanding one at that, but the vitality and hunger was difficult to comprehend unless one had spent time in this market.

He added, “There is also a dearth of true men’s lifestyle magazines and I am delighted that Maxim will be the first title to offer readers and advertisers a compelling monthly read.”

Maxim is so popular that its flagship US edition has attracted 14 million readers alone. Indian men would definitely be looking forward to the magazine.
