The International Herald Tribune (IHT) has announced that it will expand in India with the launch of a branded world business section within the recently launched business daily Financial Chronicle, from the Deccan Chronicle Group. The IHT section will debut with the Financial Chronicle's Mumbai edition launch on June 20, 2008.
The IHT logo will feature prominently on the front page. The section will be a daily four-page version of its ‘World Business’ section with Reuters, Financial Chronicle readers news and analysis of financial markets around the world.
Stephen Dunbar-Johnson, publisher of IHT, said, “Working with the Deccan Chronicle Group, a dynamic company with a proven track record in the market, will allow us to meet the growing appetite for high quality business content in India and make the IHT available to thousands more readers each morning throughout the country.”

The International Herald Tribune is printed at 35 sites across the world and sold in more than 180 countries. Based in Paris since 1887, IHT is part of The New York Times Company.
Financial Chronicle is published five days a week from Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore, and will soon expand to Delhi and Mumbai. Financial Chronicle recently launched its digital version, www.mydigitalfc.com, which includes the country's first business networking platform.
