India Today names fifty most powerful people in India

Everybody likes reading about the rich and the famous but not many know their 'little secrets' of success. And if you are one of them, grab the latest issue of India Today and read about the fifty most powerful people in India that have really made a difference today.

The top fifty are from the various streams of life - industry, medicine, entertainment, media, art, banking, sports and politics. The issue takes you on a tour through their lives, sharing their little joys and moments of disappointments.

With this issue, the magazine has featured the third power list. Like earlier, after an elaborate selection procedure fifty people were chosen for their ability to wield influence on the national stage in a wide area of activities.

The new members who made it to the list include Y.C. Deveshwar, V. Krishnamurthy, M.F. Husain, Venu Srinivasan, Aruna Roy, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, R.K. Pachauri, R. Ravi Menon, Jean Dreze, Vairamuthu, Karan Johar, Harish Salve, Mohan Lal, Kapila Vatsyayan and Firuza Parikh.
