Hindustan Media Ventures celebrates 100 years of Bihar

Everyone is moving towards a century, first it was Sachin Tendulkar with his 100th Hundred and now it is Bihar that is celebrating its 100th year. Bihar will turn 100 years old on March 22 and Hindustan Media Ventures is undertaking an initiative today to felicitate 100 people who have made a social impact in Bihar.

Talking to exchange4media, Amit Chopra, CEO, Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd (HMVL) said, “Bihar Samaagam 2012 is the culmination of Hindustan's effort to felicitate 100 individuals who have made a positive social impact in Bihar at the grass-root level. As Bihar completes 100 years of its existence on March 22, we believe it is the industrious and enterprising people of the state who will write the next 100 years of its story. We feel it is the role of media to inspire citizens to make their own future bright by revealing stories of people who have made a positive impact.”

While talking further about the promotion strategy, he said, “This campaign and event is being promoted through the newspaper and OOH medium. We also used school and college activation programmes. Hindustan involved different sections of the society to propagate the campaign and encourage participation in identifying deserving individuals.”

Chopra shared that this campaign has revealed stories of positive change from Bihar that have the potential to encourage the common man to take steps to create a brighter future. He said that this campaign will undoubtedly strengthen the already strong bond that exists between HMVL and Bihar.

“There are no sponsors for this event. It is an initiative by Hindustan for Bihar’s citizens and its readers,” concluded Chopra.
