Hewlett Packard to aggressively market laptops in India

Hewlett Packard plans to aggressively market its laptop computers in India. Despite a strong product line in India, the company has been lying low on the laptop front on account of weak demand.

Hewlett Packard plans to start assembling laptops in India to take advantage of the duty differential and offer products with an attractive price tag.

Hewlett Packard is also making a renewed thrust for its desktop computers line after the unification of its different PC brands targeted at the business segment.

The company would help customers deploy machines according to their time and cost schedules. HP also plans to help organisations with its rapid deployment programme, which brings down the time taken to operationalise individual machines.
