Gurbir Singh named Businessworld’s Executive Editor

Businessworld magazine has announced the elevation of Gurbir Singh to Executive Editor. Prior to taking over this role, Singh was Senior Associate Editor at Businessworld for seven years.

From 2005 to 2007, Singh was Media Editor at Hindustan Times. From 1988 to 2005, Singh was Assistant Corporate Editor at The Economic Times.

Annurag Batra, Chairman of Businessworld said, “Gurbir fills in rather iconic and big shoes. After all driving BW editorial is a great role. Having spent 7 strong years at BW, Gurbir knows the system and the edit function well. Like is with anyone who steps into a new role, Gurbir will grow well, strong and sure in his new assignment. He has led the last two issues with aplomb and they both have been so well received...near sold out. It doesn't need stressing that he will lead perhaps a great editorial unit and team. And a team that is growing by leaps and bounds as each day goes.”
