Good response to Dainik Bhaskar’s ‘Crack the Case’

Dainik Bhaskar Group has received over 180 entries for the recently announced ‘Crack the Case’ contest, wherein participants are required to provide solutions for the Group’s success case study, deliberating on next steps.

Entries have been received from organisations such as Strategem, Rediffusion, IDBI, Deloitte, Network 18 Media, O&M, ICICI, IMRB, SAIL, Titan, and HDFC, among others.

Commenting on this endeavour, Sanjeev Kotnala, VP Marcomm, Dainik Bhaskar Group said, “We have always spoken to the industry in various manners and forum. This time we have created a platform for the industry to tell us what, according to them, should be the next step taken by the Group. We are looking forward to insightful entries.”

One has to log on to the company website to register and receive a copy of the case study. After MICA and IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore has now created a case study on Dainik Bhaskar Group, showcasing its triumph in Maharashtra. The case explains the working and expansion of the Group and ends with the question – “Which market should Dainik Bhaskar Group enter next?”

There would be two rounds of screening. The initial screening in round one will be done by the management of Dainik Bhaskar Group. The second round of judging shall have the participants to come and present the case to the jury members.

The jury would include senior management of Dainik Bhaskar Group, Professor Seema Gupta from IIM Bangalore and other industry stalwarts. The participants would be flown down from their locations to Mumbai for case study presentation of round two, where the final results would be declared.

Last date for submission of entries is October 15, 2012.
