Gill India Communications Pvt., Ltd. (GICPL), a publishing house of travel and leisure magazines is set to launch two magazines in the month of December 2008 – women’s magazine ‘What Women Want’ and a Lifestyle magazine ‘Lifestyle Living’. The magazines will be priced at Rs 30 and Rs 100 respectively and will be launched pan India with a major emphasis on Metros. Editor of the magazines is Kamal Gill who's also the managing director of Gill India Communications Pvt Ltd.
Commenting on the circulation figures for the magazines, Vivek Mittal, Vice President, Gill India Communications Pvt Ltd., said, “We are targeting a circulation of about 66, 000 copies for ‘What Women Want’ and 40, 000 for ‘Lifestyle Living’ copies on the stands and through sales promotion.”
Speaking on the content Mittal said, “Contents of ‘What Women Want’ will be on all topics of interest to women: right from shopping, beauty and cosmetics, home interiors, fashion, health, gossip, Bollywood, investments, real estate to latest trends, food, society, family, love and relationships, travel. It will contain everything which a modern woman of the age group of 18-60 years wants. It is targeted to both housewife and working women. The magazine will be of 100 pages.”
“While the contents of ‘Lifestyle Living’ will be basically fashion, lifestyles of the rich and famous, hotels and holidays, luxury brands, premium cars, architecture and real estate, jewellery, golf, polo, formula 1, art, corporate life, premium air travel and spas. The magazine will interest SEC A1+ segment of the society,” added Mittal.
“We are positioning this magazine at par with Femina, with a better product quality wise and lesser cover price. Content wise Good Housekeeping is also a competitor, the magazines are fully owned by Gill Communications.” quips Mittal.
Commenting on the advertising and marketing plans, Mittal said, “We will be concentrating on sales promotion of the magazine, which includes offering an attractive scheme to the vendors and subscription offer. Outdoor media and FM radio will be used for advertising of the magazines.”
