FE launches Hyderabad edition

Leading national business daily, The Financial Express is launching its Hyderabad edition today. Speaking to exchange4media.com, Editor-in-Chief of the daily, Dr Sanjaya Baru said the soft launch of the newspaper would take place today. And, this would be followed by an aggressive launch a month later.

The void in the market of South India for a financial daily would be filled with the launch of FE edition, observed Baru. According to him, the editorial content would have a strong focus on the national and regional news. Plans to launch special supplements catering to the needs of readers in South India were in the offing, he added.

One being contacted, Amit Goyal, Brand Manager, FE, said that the group was targeting a sale of around 6,000 copies on the first day. However, the print order would be of around 8,000 copies.

As Goyal informed, an aggressive campaign to promote the newspaper in Hyderabad was being undertaken. “We have already identified target readers and we anticipate a good response from the market,” he added.
