English daily DNA has started off July 2009 with a party, inviting advertisers, agencies and company friends. The occasion was to celebrate the publication completing four years. However, as DNA’s CEO, KU Rao, explained, the party would continue for the entire month, albeit in different forms.
Rao said, “We’ve had four great years, and we wanted to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who has made this happen – that is, our readers, our advertisers and the media agencies that have worked with us. We are looking forward to their continued support in the times to come.”
Rao informed that the publication had planned a series of events to keep its viewers engaged in the celebrations. Apart from bumper anniversary special to prizes, the publication is working at involving its readers very closely. There is also plan to bring out an elaborate DNA Money issue around the Union Budget 2009-10 presentation.
The paper is also working on celebrating the occasion with advertisers and media agencies. Rao divulged, “We are working very closely with media agencies. In fact, we have an account manager dedicated to each agency to ensure a more collaborative work culture.”
For this year, DNA would not be launching any further editions. The publication’s attempt now is to stabilise it six existing editions and work towards turning all of them into profitable entities.
