Dainik Bhaskar’s Brain Hunt gets 80,000 qualifying entries

Brain Hunt 2012, an initiative of the Dainik Bhaskar Group under the umbrella of Bhaskar Champs Club, has seen 80,000 entries that have qualified for the contest. The idea behind the national level creative contest is to develop reading habits among the young and boost future readership.

The 80,000 qualifying entries include the letters written by participants to the President of India, sharing their ideas on ‘How can we make India an even better country’. The winning letters were handed over to President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhavan during the awards ceremony. The response to Brain Hunt 2012 has been recognised by the India Book of Records for the largest number of letters written by students to the President of India.

Commenting on the initiative, Vinay Maheshwari, Vice President - Sales and Market Development, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, “The journey, which started with a mere idea full of creative twists and turns, blossomed into some beautiful and spellbinding masterpieces from the imagination of 6 to 16 years old kids, giving a new dimension to every challenge on which they were tested and tried.”

He added, “The smart reader engagements are carried out with the sole objective of engaging and involving our readers to strengthen the relationship. We plan to continue this process and our upcoming smart reader engagements will now put higher emphasis on participation and contribution of both children and parents through such initiatives provided by Dainik Bhaskar to nurture their hidden talents.”

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
