Yet another magazine from the Cyber Media stable is going to hit newsstands soon. This time it is an entrepreneur magazine called ‘Dare’. The first issue of the monthly magazine, priced at Rs 30, will be launched in October 2007.
Commenting on the new magazine, Pradeep Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, Cyber Media, said, “We felt there was vacuum in this space. It’s a first of its kind independent magazine from Cyber Media. Entrepreneurship is really hot in India. There are lots of exciting things that are happening in the Indian market. Indians have been great entrepreneurs and Indians need resources to understand the whole eco-system.”
Gupta added, “Our target audience consists of four types. One, who is an existing entrepreneur who wants to take his company to a global level; new entrepreneurs who are entering into the area of entrepreneurship; existing entrepreneurs; and others in the entrepreneur system like banks, venture capitalist, angel funding, etc.”
Krishna Kumar has been brought in as Group Editor of ‘Dare’. The magazine will consist of 108 pages and the content will include stories to inspire people as well as increasing their knowledge about different aspects of entrepreneurship.
Said Kumar, “‘Dare’ will consist of seven elements – idea, funding, creating an organisation, marketing logistics, branding, growth and value realization, and environment policy and law. We are working in an entrepreneur mode. Our stories will be a mix of reporting and analysis. For example, we will cover stories like How can private equity work? Our take is how business owners can improve their business to the next level.”
