Coke to launch energy drink 'Shock'

Coca-Cola India expands its soft drinks product portfolio with the launch of energy drink 'Shock' from this week. Launched is in line with the company's strategy of becoming a complete, non-alcoholic beverages company, Shock is a carbonated drink formulated "to give the consumers a boost of energy".

The foray into energy drinks market comes even as Coca-Cola India's petition for waiving the mandatory initial public offer condition stipulated in its foreign collaboration agreement has been reportedly rejected by the finance and industry ministries.
