Business Standard Ltd has announced the launch of a business daily in Hindi. Going under the eponymous Business Standard name, the paper will be first launched in Delhi and Mumbai, hitting the newsstands on February 16, 2008. More editions are expected to be announced in the coming days. The price of the Hindi edition will be Rs 2.

According sources in the company, Business Standard, in Hindi, will target small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, traders, small investors, etc. Keeping this focus, the paper itself has been designed around meeting this need by adding locally relevant content. The Hindi BS would bring to the reader what its editorial team is known for -- incisive and in-depth analyses of events.
