Business Standard on Friday launched a new monthly magazine, ‘Open Sky’, which focuses on the aviation sector, thus adding to its already existing two special interest publications. The magazine will be available free of cost to the daily subscribers of the newspaper.
Speaking about the reason behind launching such a product, Rakesh Shah, VP, Marketing, Business Standard, said, “There is so much development happening on the aviation industry front. More and more people are now flying nationally and internationally. But there was no such magazine that caters well to this sector. That’s why we decided on this product.”
The magazine aims to target both the B2B and B2C audience with relevant content. “As we enjoy significant readership among the decision makers who are frequent travelers, this is a very good platform to communicate to a very important audience.”
On why the publication decided to supply the magazine free of cost, Shah said, “We always believe in adding value to our readership. The new magazine has also strengthened our product offering. By giving the magazine free to our subscribers, we have ensured proper distribution with ensured circulation of the magazine to our advertisers.”
Business Standard has other two monthly special interest publications – ‘BS Motoring’ and ‘Indian Management’.
