Business Standard is launching its print edition in Bhubaneshwar from January 22, thus becoming the first business daily to be printed from Bhubaneshwar. This will be Business Standard’s 12th edition.
Arun Natesh, Marketing Head of Business Standard, said, “The Bhubaneshwar edition of Business Standard would be priced at Rs 2 on Monday to Friday, and Rs 4 on Saturdays. There would be no edition on Sundays. Business Standard is fast expanding with Bhubaneshwar being the fifth location to be launched in the last 16 months. With this latest launch, business leaders in Orissa will now enjoy reading their preferred business daily first thing in the morning. We see huge opportunities in Orissa as well as other developing states.”
On the circulation, Natesh said, “We would have significant presence in these markets.”
“We have introduced several changes. We are the only ones to cover global stock markets. The content has become crisper and segmented on weekdays to give added focus on infrastructure, commodities, taxation, business law, real estate, business life, business education and many more. We have also added Bloomberg to our repertoire of wire service feeds. Combined with our association with Financial Times, London, it has added range and depth to our reporting on various markets in India and abroad. A unique six-page stock markets data pack is now well complemented by fuller coverage on mutual funds,” Natesh added.
Regarding the future plans of the paper, he said, “We are actively looking at reaching out to newer markets and customers.”
