Arindam Chaudhuri to launch ‘Business and Economy’ in February

Well-known economist and management guru Arindam Chaudhuri, Dean of Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM), is launching a business magazine titled ‘Business and Economy’ around February next year. While Chaudhuri will be Editor-in-Chief, the Publisher is Abhimanyu Ghosh.

Chaudhuri’s consulting firm, Planman Consulting, and IIPM’s Economic and Research Wing will jointly publish the magazine, Ghosh informed. On the content, he said, “The magazine will be covering all aspects of business and would be analysis driven. Unlike other magazines that are news driven, we would concentrate on analyzing business and economic issues.”

Ghosh refused to divulge the price of the magazine but said, “We are targeting a high-end audience through this magazine. CEOs of companies, opinion makers in business and of course management students would be our target audience.”

On the editorial team, he said, “We have the editorial team in place and Chaudhuri will be heading the team.” Asked if Chaudhuri would be doing a column, Ghosh said, “May be, may be not. He will be writing the editorial note but he may be a columnist too.”
