Pune-based Aaj Ka Anand Papers is all set to foray into the English daily space with its new launch, Life 365, from April 15. The group brings out a Hindi daily, Aaj Ka Ananad and a Marathi eveninger, Sandhyanand.
Talking to exchange4media, Vineeta Desmukh, Editor, Life 365, said that the daily has been doing test runs for the past 15 days and the feedback to the newspaper has been good. “We are getting a positive response, and we are trying to experiment with innovations in presentation of news in the daily.”
Deshmukh shared that these days, readers are hardly spending more than 10 minutes of their time on a newspaper. With Life 365, and the innovations in presentation of news, the new daily's motive is to bring back the reading habit.
As a promotional offer, Life 365 will be bundled along with Aaj Ka Anand. Anand Agashe, Managing Editor of the paper said, “We will be coming up with a promotional plan in a bigger way in the coming days.”
Himanka Das, Senior Vice President (West), Carat Media India said, “As long as the publishers knows which segment of readers they should cater to and the right kind of content that needs to be provided, one will always create a space for itself. And a good marketer always knows how to monetise it.”
