 Dilip Venkatraman joins as iTV Network Group COO

Dilip Venkatraman has been appointed as the Group Chief Operating Officer (COO), Strategy and Business Development at iTV Network.

“iTV Network is all set to emerge as India’s most profitable and largest TV news network. I am looking forward to boost the growth momentum and strengthen the network through innovative and effective strategic solutions,” Venkatraman said. 

Venkatraman will be responsible for planning strategic solutions and business development for the network. He will report to Kartikeya Sharma, Managing Director, iTV Network.

Prior to this, Venkatraman served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CNN-IBN and IBN7, owned by Network18 group. With over 23 years of experience, including three years in the USA, Venkatraman has held many key positions at the India Today Group and Zee Network. A graduate in public administration, he also pursued management from IIM-Bangalore and advanced management programme from Harvard Business School, Boston. 

“I am happy to welcome Dilip as the new Group COO. His record of delivering growth and understanding of the industry, brands and advertisers will be a great asset for us,” said Kartikeya Sharma, Managing Director, iTV Network.

iTV Network is India’s fastest growing news network. With two national news channels, four regional news channels, two newspapers and various digital assets, it reaches out to 91 million viewers and readers daily. NewsX, the network’s national English news channel, has been a trend-setter in the English news genre. iTV’s India News is a leading national Hindi news channel. India News UP and Uttarakhand, India News Rajasthan, India News Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and India News Haryana have further strengthened the network’s dominance in Hindi-speaking regions. Besides, the network publishes newspapers The Sunday Guardian and Aaj Samaj.
