 Deepak Lamba to head Worldwide Media as CEO

Deepak Lamba, President at Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group) will be taking additional responsibility of heading Worldwide Media (WWM) as the CEO. This was confirmed by Lamba.

He will be replacing Tarun Rai who was the CEO of WWM since 2008. WWM that initially began as a 50:50 joint venture between Times Group and BBC Worldwide in India was later on bought over in October 2011 became a wholly owned subsidiary of Bennett Coleman Company Limited. It currently has 13 magazines such as Femina, Fimfare, Lonely Planet, Top Gear, Good Homes among others and another six B2B titles.

Lamba has been the President of Times Group for more than two and half years. Apart from this, he also had stints at Bloomberg UTV as the Business Head for two years and was the Director, Viacom Brand Solutions, MTV Networks India for four years. 

Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
