‘The Telegraph’ is introducing a new lifestyle supplement – ‘T2’ – from February 2 in a bid to connect with a wider reader base. The all-colour tabloid will be given along with with the main paper from Monday to Saturday. ‘T2’ will cover topics ranging from entertainment, fashion, food, and shopping to lifestyle, health, films and social events, besides carrying crosswords, comics and puzzles.
A spokesperson from ‘The Telegraph’ said, “Today’s readers are looking for more infotainment or news from other aspects of life, rather than just hardcore traditional news. ‘T2’ has been designed keeping those readers in mind.”
‘T2’s target audience will essentially be youngsters and young adults in the age group of 16-40 years.
‘The Telegraph Metro’, the eight-page supplement will henceforth continue as a four-page supplement with more dose of city news only. Earlier, ‘The Telegraph Metro’ had four pages of city centric news while the remaining four pages were on entertainment and lifestyle.
‘The Telegraph’ itself it set to don a more vibrant and colourful look. ‘The Weekend Telegraph’ will get revamped and upgraded to ‘Personal Telegraph’ from February 3 and would focus more on areas like personal finance, travel, health and wellness, etc. It will also carry write-ups by readers.
Company sources said, “These initiatives are part of gearing up ‘The Telegraph’ to remain unputdownable even as it turns 25 on July 7 this year.”
