‘Society Interiors’, the 12-year old design monthly from Magna Publication Group, has launched a special supplement, ‘Kitchens & Bathroom Special’. It is a quarterly issue and the first few issues would be circulated free with ‘Society Interiors’ magazine. The first issue was launched on July 25.
Commenting on the launch, Shivendra Parihar, Head – Marketing, Magna Publication Group, said, “‘Kitchen & Bathroom Special’ is an extremely focused and comprehensive guide on the latest trends, designs and styles in kitchen and bathrooms. The content is reader friendly. The main magazine is quite broad based and deals with a variety of design related issues, whereas ‘Kitchen & Bathroom Special’ will have a highly targeted content for a niche audience, which is looking for easy, practical advice and solutions to their design needs.”
On the marketing strategy, Parihar said, “The special supplement will be promoted heavily through the entire Magna Group of publications and also through various ATL and BTL promotions to create awareness about the product. Apart from this, we have plans to organise a series of Expos across major cities based on the subject of ‘Kitchen & Bathroom’. We will also make the magazine available at all important home improvement stores, modular kitchen dealers, bath luxury dealers, etc.”
The cover price of this issue has not yet been decided. On this, Parihar said that they first wanted to create a market across India through free circulation. “It will take us at least one year’s time to create a dedicated reader base and only after that we can convert it to an independent/ standalone magazine,” he added.
As for the readership profile, Parihar said that the core readership profile included design enthusiasts, architects, interior designers and home lovers. Since ‘Kitchen & Bathroom Special’ is being distributed with the main magazine, it will have the entire reach of ‘Society Interiors’ magazine.
‘Society Interiors’ has plans to come up with some more special supplements such as ‘Furniture Special’, ‘Lighting Special’ and ‘Flooring Special’. The Group has already started working on these issues and is expected to launch them in six months’ time.
Speaking on competition, Parihar claimed, “At present, there is no competition for a specialised magazine like this. ‘Society Interiors’ is the No. 1 magazine in its genre and as a leader it has always taken initiatives that have become trendsetters.”
‘Society Interiors’ is also known for a number of successful events like Society Interiors Expo, Society Interiors Design Awards and Society Interiors Honours for the architects and interior designers fraternity, the core target audience for an interior design magazine.
