Zee Turner COO Siddharth Jain takes over as CEO

Zee Turner, the distribution alliance between Turner International and Zee Network, India’s Leading Media and entertainment conglomerate, has announced the appointment of Siddharth Jain as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this appointment, he was serving Zee Turner as the Chief Operating Officer. Jain played a key role in providing strategic direction to Zee Turner’s marketing efforts and the business growth of the bouquet, besides overseeing the distribution and sales for the company.

Prior to his appointment as the COO of Zee Turner, a company that is responsible for the distribution of a bunch of channels under Zee umbrella, Turner and the third party channels, Jain was the Senior Vice President – Distribution, conceiving and developing new businesses with the aim of increasing business, revenues and penetration. He joined Zee Turner in 2002.

A recipient of the ‘Sword of Honour’ and gold medal from the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Jain gave up his career with the Indian Army in 1995, before joining the media business. He has over nine years of experience in the dynamic distribution business of the cable and satellite industry. Having joined STAR TV as a Regional Manager in 1995, he moved to Turner International India in 1998, setting up the entire distribution network for South Asia. He was instrumental in encrypting Cartoon Network and CNN and launching HBO in South Asia.
