ZEE ropes in Harish Goyal as Territory Head, Africa

Zee Entertainment Enterprises has brought on board Harish Goyal as Territory Head, Africa. He will be responsible for the overall business of the Africa territory and will report to Mukund Cairae, CEO, ZEE Middle East, North Africa, Turkey & Pakistan.

Goyal brings with him over 20 years of experience in the areas of Sales, Marketing (International and Domestic), Business Development, Strategic Partnership Management, Supply Chain Management, Distribution Network Management and Import and Exports Operations in different industries like Electronics, Telecom Equipments, Media and Telecom Services.

His last assignment was at Acme Group, where he was Chief Marketing Officer and was responsible for leading the LIB energy storage business and International Business. He was also Chairman of Reime (East and West Africa) Executive Committee. Prior to joining the Acme Group, he has worked with companies such as Indus Towers, Times Innovative Media, Bharti Teletech, and Cosmo Ferrites.

Welcoming Goyal, Subhash Chandra, Chairman, Essel Group said, “Strengthening and bringing focus through deployment of right resources in businesses is a part of our organisation’s aspiration to achieve better and continued higher growth. Over the last more than two decades, ZEE has been strengthening its position in the global markets. With the vision to strengthen the content globally, we have been laying special focus on content in the emerging markets. The Africas business has grown beyond the stage of incubating business, which now requires structured focus for multiplying opportunities existing in that market.”

He further said, “With the overall strategic vision on the territory to strengthen its content, we take pleasure in announcing the joining of Harish Goyal as Territory Head – Africas with effect from August 8, 2014. Harish will report to Mukund Cairae, who is managing the additional responsibility of Africas Territory.”
