Zee Network’s Ashish Kaul joins BAG Films & Media as Group COO

BAG Films & Media Ltd has appointed Ashish Kaul as Group Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining BAG Films Kaul was Executive Vice-President, Corporate Brand Development at Zee Network and various companies of Essel Group. In his new appointment, Kaul would be working in close quarters with the Chairman and Managing Director of BAG Films and the core team of the company, identifying business vision strategy, building organisational capability and strategising to achieve long term and short term goals of the company.

Anurradha Prasad, Managing Director, BAG Films, said, “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ashish Kaul at BAG Films & Media Ltd. With him on board, we believe his contribution would help achieve the many milestones the company has set for itself.”

Kaul said, “It is an honour to be part of an organisation that is at the threshold of a quantum leap. BAG Films & Media is a very prestigious young organisation with a 360-degree approach to their diversification plan, encompassing TV, radio, convergence, animation, education, and film and TV production. The company’s diversification plans hold enormous possibilities and I look forward to lead BAG Films & Media to a position of strength in their respective businesses.”

Kaul has moved on after a decade-long association within Zee Network and various companies of Essel Group. In his career spanning 14 years across diverse transnational companies, Kaul has worked in areas like corporate marketing/brand, business development, corporate affairs, and communications management. He has worked in diverse business operations, including telcom, infrastructure management, cable and distribution operations, broadcasting, chemicals and petrochemicals, hotel and tourism, media and entertainment.

He is the recipient of the MEDIAMeet Manager of the Year Award for 2001 and the ‘Chief Minister’s Commendation Award for Outstanding Contribution to Society’. Kaul has been a guest faculty at IIM, Ahmedabad and several other educational institutions across the country.
