Zee-Bhaskar’s DNA ropes in Lokmat's Vijay Kadu and Business Standard's R Jagannathan

With its positioning as Mumbai's own paper, Daily News and Analysis coming from the Zee-Bhaskar combine has added more people force in its fold now. Lokmat's Vijay Kadu is coming in the circulation and distribution function and Business Standard's R Jagannathan is joining as Business Editor.

DNA has managed to raise quite a few eyebrows with the marketing campaign that it recently broke. Despite attempts from papers like Maharashtra Times and Loksatta, DNA's message to encourage people to participate in its consumer research remains undeterred. Under the supervision of Suresh Balakrishnan, the forthcoming paper is establishing itself.

The responsibility of who is taking care of what is well defined between Zee and Bhaskar. Among one of the first to join in the editorial function was Ayaz Menon as Editor-at-large. Business Standard's R Jagannathan is all set to join the paper as Business Editor. Jagan Nath has not put in his papers at the organisation yet but would be joining in around the late May period.

Vijay Kadu would be joining DNA in the first week of May. He would be the General Manager of the circulation and distribution. Kadu has been with Lokmat for 18 months now, prior to which he was with Loksatta. Commenting on his decision to move, he said, "It's a happening market. I have great faith in the product. Coming in the Mumbai market means a great challenge as well, given the present competitive scenario here. This is one reason I have joined DNA."
