Following the exit of Chirag Shah (former National Sales Head), Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd has now realigned its sales team with two key changes – Siddharth Kelkar and Vishwanath Shetty have been elevated as Regional Heads for New Markets (Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata) and the Mumbai region, respectively.
Having been with the company for the last three and half years, Kelkar has been responsible for key accounts such as Cadburys, P&G, and Parle-G, among others. He will now also handle Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata as a region. Kelkar is also said to have been instrumental in driving revenues from these regions and will push the sector further with key accounts like Amul, Cadilla, Emami, Bajaj, and Paras, among others.
Shetty, who has been with Zapak for three years now, will be heading the overall Mumbai region for Sales and drive it forward. Until now, he was handling accounts of Idea, LIC, Vodafone, etc.
Kelkar has about seven years of experience in the media industry, specialising in sales with past experience in The Times of India, Hindustan Times and Network18. Shetty has about 10 years of industry experience with AOL, Hindustan Times and Network18.
Both Kelkar and Shetty will report directly to Arun Mehra, Chief Operating Officer, Zapak.
Commenting on the elevations, Mehra said, “The year 2010 is crucial for us and we are ready to take it to the next level altogether. We are confident about the company’s growth with these two young go-getters in our team. Even during recession, with their determination and persistence we witnessed 100 per cent growth in the key regions. The year 2010 will be a promising year for us with double the number of brand associations.”
