Pratik Mazumder has joined Times Internet as Vice President – Marketing. He took charge in April 2013. Mazumder joins Times Internet from Yatra, where he was CMO and Strategic Alliances Leader for over three years and had made critical contributions in the areas of brand positioning and other key strategic initiatives.
Mazumder has around 19 years of varied experience in marketing and advertising. Prior to joining Yatra, Mazumder was leading his own brand consultancy firm, Trojan Horse. Before that, he was Head of Brand Communication & Media for the mobility division of Bharti Airtel for about eight years. In the advertising space, he had worked with agencies such as Ogilvy One Worldwide, Enterprise Nexus Direct and Direct Response.
In an internal note issued, Satyan Gajwani, CEO Times Internet said, “We are investing our energy and time towards building out great products for our consumers. Pratik and the entire marketing team will be responsible for helping us communicate the power of what we are building, and continue to ideate on ways of finding exciting, unique and effective ways to break noise. Increasingly, I expect marketing to work closely with businesses to understand their goals, collaboratively brainstorm, and develop cool, creative, fun and exciting ways for us to achieve them.”
