Yamaha Motor India appoints Takahiro Maeda as Director Sales and Marketing

Takahiro Maeda, who has a twenty-year stint with the Yamaha group, has now been appointed as the Director, Sales and Marketing for the Indian operations. Yamaha Motor India made an announcement to this effect on Saturday.

Expressing his views on the appointment, H Yanagi, CEO and Managing Director, Yamaha Motor India, said, “We look forward to having Maeda as a part of our team as Yamaha Motor India changes gears to transform the market from ‘utility’ to ‘pleasure’. He will play a vital role in understanding customers needs and will help in developing innovative, sporty and premium product offering.”

With a mission to take biking to the next level, Maeda’s core responsibilities will entail him to implement Yamaha’s evolving growth strategy for India. He will coordinate the sales, marketing and engineering functions to develop a strong product line for the Indian market.

With immense contributions to Yamaha Motors USA and Yamaha Motors Europe and with expertise in product planning and marketing, Maeda’s experience will now give the Indian bikers an increasing blend of European and international designs from Yamaha.
