With Britannia, Titan in bag, Maxus Bangalore beefs up its set-up

Maxus Bangalore has been in great form having won two of the biggest accounts of the year - Britannia and Titan. With these wins in place, the agency is now looking at beefing up its operations to ensure that its clients get the maximum out of it.

Maxus has been expanding its team for a while now, with a number of new members joining at the junior and middle levels. Recently, Jaydeep Chaudhuri was brought in from Madison to head the Britannia account. According to Ruby Bana, GM, Maxus Bangalore, the team is more or less in place with the only opening left being that of a Business Director. "We are preferably looking for an internal transfer, but if that does not work out, then we might go outside to find the right person," she told exchange4media. The going, according to her, hasn't been all that smooth as "finding the right talent is really a tough job".

Alongside the extension in the team, Maxus is also expanding its office space in Bangalore. Currently working out of the crowded GroupM office, Maxus will soon be moving into a 3,000 square feet space in the same building. "With our recent wins we realized that to give them the attention they deserve, we needed a bigger working area," said Bana.

Bana is clear that all expansion, be it team or office space, is being undertaken to service its current clients better, rather than to gain new businesses. "We are looking at consolidating our existing businesses now. We are not hiring in anticipation of any new acquisition," she said.
