V&S Broadcasting appoints Walt Disney’s Sanjay Bhasin as VP-Sales

V&S Broadcasting, an affiliate of UTV Broadcasting Ltd, has appointed Sanjay Bhasin as Vice President-Sales. Bhasin will now lead the ad sales division of V&S Broadcasting for its forthcoming set of three channels that will form a part of the upcoming bouquet of TV channels from the UTV Group, of which World Movies would be launched in November this year. Bhasin will be reporting into COO Dilshad Master. He comes in from Walt Disney Company where he was Associate Director-Sales.

“We are pleased to have Sanjay join us on our team as he brings with him immense knowledge and experience in ad sales across all lines of media – TV, radio and Internet,” said Shantonu Aditya, CEO, V&S Broadcasting Ltd.

Bhasin comes with media experience of over 17 years. Among his other career stints, he was with The Times of India in the brand function as General Manager where he spent close to two years, till 2003. He has worked on various projects including the re-launch of Economic Times as a pink paper, the launch of Times FM, and was a part of the core team that launched Indiatimes and the 8888 shortcode SMS service. He then moved to MTV Network Ltd as Group Account Director, where he managed to garner the highest revenues for the big four events – Youth Icon, Roadies, Style Awards and Immies. He was also a part of launch of the Disney Channel in India. He was with MTV till 2004.

He comes with media experience of over 17 years.
