V&S Broadcasting appoints Dilshad Master as COO for three channels
Dilshad Master has been appointed COO for V&S Broadcasting, a subsidiary of UTV Broadcasting Ltd, for three of its channels. These channels are in the variety and specialty genre. Master will report to Shantonu Aditya, Chief Executive Officer, V&S Broadcasting.
Speaking on the appointment, Aditya said, “We are very pleased to have Dilshad join our team, as she brings a great deal of experience and a keen sense of what it takes to successfully set up and operate a bouquet of specialty channels.”
These channels will be a part of the upcoming bouquet of TV channels from the UTV group. Olive TV, a channel dedicated to world cinema to be launched in 2007, will be the first of the channels. The others will be announced shortly.
Prior to this appointment, Master was Senior VP-Content and Communication for National Geographic Channel and The History Channel at NGC Network (India) Pvt. Ltd. She has been in the business of television and multi-channel management for 17 years. Before NGC Networks, she was the VP-Operations for STAR Plus and STAR News and Senior VP-International Marketing at STAR India, responsible for launching STAR's channels on the BSkyB platform in the UK.
