Vishaka Communications beefs up senior creative team

Vishaka Communications Pvt Ltd, an ad agency founded by Bishakha Saha, is in a major revamp and re-energising mode. The agency recently brought in some fresh talent. Sanjiv Ranjan, who was Creative Director in Mudra Communications, has joined as Senior Creative Director, while Raju Deolikar has joined as Creative Director-Art. The new creative team comes on board from the first week of December.

“We have become the favourite hunting ground for creative resources for several top agencies in town, and we take it as compliment. It is a fact that we enrich the portfolios of youngsters so fast that they get ready to be poached,” said Saha.

Ranjan has had stints at Lintas, Everest and Percept prior to joining Mudra. He has handled several well-know brands such as Dabur Vatika, Pudin Hara, MMTC, Raffles, Safal, Amway, Mother Dairy, Tata Motors, Yamaha YBX Bike, Honda City, Maxima, Panasonic, Red & White, Pan Parag and Essar.

“Trees die standing tall, so even when you are doing well you need to be a moving target and continuously bring in freshness to your own brand,” said Abhimanyu Mishra, Executive Creative Director, Vishaka Communications.

“At Vishaka I saw a consistency in their approach towards building powerful Indian brands and the fact that while it was strategically so sound, its soul was still rooted in creating outstanding creative work, and that is what attracted me to VCPL,” Ranjan said.

Deolikar is an alumnus of JJ School of Arts, Mumbai, and had stints with Interact-Vision, McCann Erickson and IB&W. He has worked on accounts like Aristocrat, HCL, Hyundai, Eros Group, Avon, Fortis, IndianOil, Woodland, Coty Brown-Forman, Asahi, The Leela Kempinski and Videocon.

Vishaka currently handles accounts in India, East Africa, Dubai and the UK.
