Big FM has appointed Viplove Gupte as Director- Programming. He would be responsible for strengthening the programming offerings of the FM player and also ensuring a wholesome entertainment mix to listeners across the Big FM network. Prior to joining Big FM, Gupte had led the programming team of My FM as National Programming Head, where he was instrumental in the launch of its 16 stations.
In his 14-year career span, Gupte has worked in advertising, radio and movie content aggregation. He was also the first Programming Head of the first radio station of Radio Mirchi in Indore in 2001.
Speaking on his new role, Gupte said, “Big FM’s vast network and spread across the country gives us the opportunity to work on a varied audience base and meet varied entertainment requirements. The programming mix at Big FM is purely research driven, which is the way forward for a successful programming format. This poses an excellent challenge for me – both creatively and managerially. I look forward to a great stint with the organisation as we live the brand line of ‘Suno Sunao, Life Banao’ in all our programming offerings.”
Commenting on Gupte’s appointment, Manav Dhanda, National Programming Head, Big FM said, “Viplove’s excellent track record and rich industry experience is sure to add immense value to Big FM’s programme offerings. We are happy to have him on board, leading the national team under his able guidance, and we wish him the very best.”
