Vinod Kapri has put in his papers as Managing Editor, India TV after a stint of six years. While confirming the news to exchange4media, Kapri said that he will announce his next destination. “I am planning to do something new in 2014 and movies will be one of the most important things this year,” he added.
On his stint with India TV, Kapri said, “It was a wonderful stint and I really enjoyed my work. I am sure I was able to change the perception of the channel and gain ratings with respect.”
Kapri has been working as journalist for the past 20 years and besides news content, also has a flair for writing stories and film scripts.
Prior to joining India TV, he was with Star News (now ABP News) as Deputy Managing Editor for three years.
After a stint in the print media, Kapri worked in the broadcast space at Zee TV and Zee News for nine years, becoming the Editor - Output.
Earlier, in a post on a social networking site, Kapri said, “The time has come to say good bye to the organisation. I have left India TV two hours back and this was one of the toughest decisions of my life.”
