Vineet Trakroo appointed as GM for FCB Ulka

FCB Ulka has appointed Vineet Trakroo as its General Manager. Prior to his appointment, Trakroo headed the marketing and sales for India and Nepal for Beiersdorf India Pvt Ltd. He has an overall 16 years of experience in the field of marketing.

Trakroo said, “I am very glad to be a part of FCB Ulka as it is one of the ad agencies who are focussed on strategy. That is one thing which I earnestly look upon from my past experiences in marketing.”

Trakroo has a BE in Electrical and Electronics from MIT, Manipal, and has done his Masters in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute Of Management Studies.

According to Trakroo, most of the ad agencies nowadays are more focussed towards the client-servicing segment. “So some marketing experience gives a little more focus on the marketing aspects towards the clients,” he said.

He has been handling the brands like Hansaplast or Handyplast Plasters, Harmony Condoms and Lion Balm. Other brands that he has handled as Marketing Head have been the Fevicol range of adhesives at Pidilite, and Postman and other oils at Ahmed Mills.

He has also launched Bertolli Olive Oils, Barilla Pasta’s and Imperial Leather soaps in India, among many other brands. In addition, he has spent his earlier five years in the electrical engineering sector with Voltas.
