Vineet Mathur quits Zed Digital; joins UTV’s digital arm as Executive VP

Vineet Mathur has quit Zed Digital, where he was Senior Vice-President. It is learnt that he has joined UTV New Media Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UTV, as Executive Vice-President. Sources revealed that at UTV New Media, Mathur would oversee the sales and marketing strategies for all of UTV’s web properties across categories.

Mathur was unavailable for comments despite numerous attempts to contact him.

He had been associated with Zed Digital, the digital arm of ZenithOptimedia launched in 2007, for over 18 months. He was reporting to Ambika Srivastava, CEO, ZenithOptimedia.

Mathur had worked with Indiads.com in 2005-06. He had earlier also worked for OgilvyOne Worldwide, GroupM, Initiative Media, Result McCann and Tribal DDB. Some of the clients that he has handled during his career include Shaadi.com, Makemytrip.com, WorldQuestNetworks, Uniontelecard.com, Net2Phone.com, Nokia, WorldSpace Radio, SBI-Retail, DirecTV, Airtel and Incredible India, among others.
