Vijay Trivedi has joined Rajasthan Patrika as National Editor at the Delhi Bureau. Prior to this he was working with NDTV India as Consulting Editor. This is his second stint with Rajasthan Patrika, the paper where he began his career.
Talking to exchange4media about his new role, Trivedi said, “Rajasthan Patrika is a credible newspaper and is attached to the grassroots. In the time of paid news, Patrika is a highly respected newspaper with journalistic views.”
In his previous job, Trivedi was responsible for conducting all parliamentary and political reports. He had also been the host of shows like ‘Chakravyuh’, ‘Aaj ka Agenda’, ‘Hotline’, ‘Sawaal Aapke’ and ‘Ravivar Aaina’. He was the anchor of the weekly show, ‘India This Week’, on NDTV India.
He also writes for several newspapers and magazines, including Dinman, Dharmyug, Saptahik Hindustan and Ravivar.
Earlier, he had anchored programmes on Zee TV, Doordarshan and AIR. Trivedi began his career with Rajasthan Patrika and has also worked with Navbharat Times Jaipur and India Today. He shifted to television with Vinod Dua’s ‘Parakh’. He was the first person to be recruited by NDTV to manage the Hindi division.
Trivedi had earlier held the position of Joint Secretary of the Press Advisory Committee of Lok Sabha. He is also the Chairman of Leaders for Tomorrow, a not-for-profit youth based NGO. In the course of his career, Trivedi has won several national awards.
