Vijay Lalwani moves to McCann Erickson Mumbai as Creative Director

Following the announcement of Ashish Chakravarty joining McCann Erickson, Everest Brand Solutions’ Vijay Lalwani is set to join the agency at its Mumbai office. Lalwani will report to Prasoon Joshi, Executive Chairman and Regional Creative Director, McCann Erickson.

On the new appointment, Joshi said, “I am happy to have Vijay join us. A wonderful reputation precedes him and his work speaks for itself. Moreover, he brings with himself a great sense of sincerity and the fire to excel. We at McCann are committed to raising the bar further on the quality of work for our clients. I have no doubt that Vijay will exceed expectations and will be a great asset to the brands he will oversee, and to the team McCann.”

Prior to Everest, Lalwani has also worked at O&M, PSL Erickson in Pune and Laughter & Design, a creative boutique. As Creative Director, Lalwani has worked on a diverse set of brands which include Hutch, Sprite, Fanta, Pond’s, Seagrams, Coke, MTV, the Times Of India, Godrej, Tortoise and Bajaj Auto, among many others.

Lalwani has also received a host of awards, both international and nationally. These include a Cannes in 2004, Asian Media Advertising Awards, Silver and Gold at the Abby’s, and Silver and Bronzes at the AAAI’s Goafest. He was also ranked by Campaign Brief Asia in the hottest creative list in 2004-05.
