Vijay Karnataka marketing head Henry D Souza has put in his papers. At Vijay Karnataka, he was the sole custodian of the distribution network and the advertising space. D Souza has confirmed this development to exchange4media.
Talking on the VK experience, he said, “It was an interesting and enriching stint at Vijay Karnataka and I feel great being a part of a phenomenon which is VK. Its rise and success being meteoric, focus was to capitalise the potential and increase the advertising market share. Today, Vijay Karnataka is an integral part of media plans for the region and many a prestigious campaign has been carried exclusive by VK in the language segment for the region.”
As d Souza said, Vijay Karnataka was focused not only to provide predictable solutions, but offer the advertisers and marketers total solutions in the marketplace for which the group was reckoned as a preferred media partner in the region for some large agencies and clients. “This of course, worked in favour of the brand and moved it to great heights,” he added.
D Souza however preferred not to share anything about his next destination. “I have been toying with a few options post my release and would be joining one of them shortly. I would be in a position to make an announcement then,” he asserted.
Before joining Vijay Karnataka, D Souza was the President of Navbharat (Maharashtra and Chattisgarh) and also played as the key hand behind Aaren Initiative (the outdoor division of Lintas).
