Vijay Jacob, Senior Vice President - South, Bates141, puts in his papers

Vijay Jacob, Senior Vice President - South and Head of Bates141 Chennai has put in his papers. It is learnt that Jacob, who is currently serving his notice period, will end his four-year stint with the agency by the end of this month. Jacob’s next destination could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

Bates141 Chennai had witnessed a rapid growth after Jacob took over the reins of the agency four years ago. Under his leadership, the agency added several blue-chip clients, including CavinKare and Apollo Hospital Enterprises, to its kitty. The agency’s billing also zoomed manifold in the last four years.

Jacob began his career as Brand Manager and Branch Head with Eveready Industries in June 1995. After spending a little over five years with Eveready, he joined Baazee.com/ eBay. After an 11-month stint with eBay, he joined Fountain Head as Group Account Manager in April 2001.

He started career in advertising with Mudra Communications as Brand Director in April 2002. After spending two years in Mudra, he had joined Grey Worldwide as Branch Head - G3, Chennai.

As an executive committee member of Madras Ad Club, Jacob is also actively involved in the Club’s activities.
