VGC appoints Anjan Roy as Chief Operating Officer

Vyas Giannetti Creative (VGC) has promoted Anjan Roy as COO following the exit of Atul Hegde. Roy will now function as national head. He was earlier heading VGC’s North operations and was responsible for the agency's rapid growth in the Delhi NCR region since 2005. Roy’s replacement for the North operations is yet to be decided.

Preeti Vyas Giannetti, Chairperson & Chief Creative Officer, VGC, said, “After nearly five wonderful years of partnering VGC as its COO in its success path, Atul moves on for entrepreneurial pursuits. Anjan, currently President and heading our Delhi office, steps into his shoes as COO. Anjan has been with VGC for over three years and has been responsible of the immensely successful Delhi office of VGC, which he nurtured from a startup."

Speaking on his elevation, Roy said, "Over the last few years VGC has established itself as a specialist communications agency beyond a creative boutique. The confidence of building a North India operation with 35 people and going from zero to $ 8 million in billings in three years has been a good start. The next steps are to push quality and exploit inherent talent for areas beyond traditional advertising."

Outgoing COO Hegde said, "Anjan is the right person to carry on the legacy of growth and innovation at VGC. On a personal note, I'm happy to have partnered Preeti and the wonderful team at VGC to build a creatively and financially solid organization."

VGC has been on a strong growth path in the last four years, which has seen it grow ten-fold to reach billings of $45 million for this financial year. VGC currently is the communications partner for businesses like The Aditya Birla Group, Birla Sun Life AMC and Insurance, BBC World, Religare Enterprises, Godfrey Phillips, The Park Hotels and The Indian Express Group to name a few.
