Varun Kohli, Business Head-National Marketing, Amar Ujala, has been promoted as Associate Vice-President with effect from September 6. Kohli’s new assignment entails him to look after new initiatives, which includes 360-degree solution (events), Internet and brand along with his existing responsibility of handling national ad sales.

He has led marketing initiatives for the last two years and has played a pivotal role in the group’s diversification in 360-degree marketing solutions, which is headed for a promising growth in the future. Amar Ujala has seen tremendous growth during his tenure. It’s about recognising his potential and rewarding him for his consistent performance.”
Reacting to his promotion, Kohli said, “I really thank the management for reposing their faith in me. I will try my level best to do justice to the job assigned to me to the best of my capabilities.”
Speaking on the challenges ahead, Kohli said, “The challenge would be to look at new initiatives in setting up a 360-degree solution company and focus on increasing the market share and revenue from the existing markets and also make Amarujala.com a brand to reckon with. Apart from that, my focus would also be on improving the brand visibility across readers and advertisers and hence, contribute to the positive development of the company.”
Kohli began his career as a trainee with The Indian Express. He has also worked with organisations like Hindustan Times, Zee, and the Bhaskar Group before joining Amar Ujala.
