U D Choubey joins GAIL as Director (Marketing)

Dr U D Choubey has joined GAIL (India) Ltd as Director (Marketing). Choubey brings with him over 30 years experience in marketing and planning. He is the first director in the organisation to head the marketing division and will be responsible for marketing GAIL’s complete range of products that include natural gas, R-LNG, CNG, PNG, LPG, propane and other liquid hydrocarbons, polymers like HDPE and LLDPE and bandwidth leasing.

Choubey has authored a book on natural gas and represented the country in a number of international conferences. He has a PhD in the hydrocarbon discipline from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, a management degree from the Indian Institute of Business Management, Patna, and a law degree from Delhi University.


The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
