TV18 Media Network rejigs sales team; Sanjay Dua made National Sales Head of IBN Network

TV18 Media Network, the sales and marketing arm of the TV18 Group, has restructured its sales team. Sanjay Dua, who was the Network’s Regional Sales Head, has been made National Sales Head of IBN Network, which includes CNN-IBN, IBN7 and The changes will be effective from October 1.

CNBC Universe sales will be nationally headed by Anil Uniyal, while Raj Kamath will oversee inventory sales for the entire TV18 Network. Anil Uniyal has been appointed National Head of Sales of CNBC Universe. The CNBC Universe is a newly created umbrella that includes CNBC-TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNBC Global and online properties like and the Focus division of TV18, which specialises in 360 degree solutions to clients.

“Both Sanjay and Anil will continue to be the Branch Heads for Delhi and Mumbai, respectively, for the entire Network apart from their new responsibilities. This is in line with the company’s intention of consolidating revenues between the two networks in the Delhi and Mumbai hubs,” said B Saikumar, CEO, TV18 Media Network. The IBN Network is expected to see more additions to the platform, which the company is tight-lipped about at present.

Kamath, Director-Sales, will oversee the overall inventory sales function across the TV18 Network while the Focus and Internet sales teams will report directly to Saikumar.

“We are delighted with these changes. Sanjay has played a leading role in making CNN-IBN a revenue leader in its genre. I am sure he will take the IBN Network to greater heights. Anil has been handling the CNBC brand since its inception and is best placed to take the power and influence of all our business brands grouped under the CNBC Universe umbrella. Raj Kamath will continue providing strategic depth and direction to our advertising sales efforts across the Network,” said Haresh Chawla, Group CEO, TV18.

“The re-grouping of the TV18 Media network is aimed at optimising the Network’s strengths across the television, Internet and mobile media in line with TV18’s expanding television network and its aggressive foray into the online and digital world. The team till date has done a remarkable job and this re-structuring will only help them focus their energies better and gear themselves for the future,” Chawla further said.
